Our Powell River group called SUNSHINE GOGOS is one of the newest grandmothers’ groups, formed in the spring of 2009. At present we have over 60 members. Our goal is to raise awareness about and funds for the Grandmothers to Grandmothers’ Campaign. We sell tote bags, beautiful Kazuri jewelry, note cards, books, etc.
A Scrabble Benefit in the spring of 2010 followed by a Textile Art Show in the fall were very successful fundraising events. We are hosting our second Scrabble Benefit on March 26, 2011. Check out the poster on our blog for more details!
