Established in 2003, the Stephen Lewis Foundation works in five key areas: children orphaned by AIDS; grandmothers; home based health care; positive living and gender violence.
The SLF has provided support for more than 300 projects in 15 Sub Saharan countries. Grassroots groups provide education about HIV/AIDS, distribute food and medication, care for the sick, help orphaned children access education and support grandmothers who are caring for millions of orphaned grandchildren.
